As a McAuliffe student you are expected to be:
*Prompt-in your seat before the bell rings.
*Positive- always enter the room with pride-expect to learn something new.
*Prepared- Come to class with your warm-up/homework and all materials needed for class.
*Polite- Respect the rights of others to learn. You should remain in your seat and listen while teaching and learning are in progress.
*Productive- be an active participant and always strive to get the most out of your education.
**ALL CELL PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND KEPT INSIDE YOUR BACK-PACK AT ALL TIMES.

8th grade Reading STAAR Test: TBA
*Not allowed the first 20 minutes and the last 10 minutes of class, unless it is an emergency.
*When you are absent you are still responsible for the material you miss.
*It is your responsibility to copy any notes you missed from a friend (or you can see me after school) and gather any handouts.
*You will have 2 days from the day you return back to school to make-up any assignments for full credit, depending on the amount of days missed.
*Late work-you will be deducted 10 points for each day the assignment is late.
Computation of grades:
*60 % Class Assignments: Daily Work, Warm-Up’s, Homework...
*40% Test, Quiz, Project’s…
Materials for my classroom:
*1-Folder with pockets & brads in the center (any color).
*Pencil with eraser
*1 set of index cards (100 count, will be used for Exit Classroom tickets)
*Glue sticks (will be used all year)
*2 Highlighters (different colors preferably)
*1 box of Kleenex (if possible)
*1 Lysol or Clorox wipes (optional)
